Garage Door Opener, 13953800 SRT, remote control not works and can't be programmed with SRT button.
Garage Door Opener, 13953800 SRT, 2 remote controls suddenly failed to works and can't be programmed with SRT button. Wall control is OK. Replacing batteries and following manual's instruction to pressing SRT button and hold remote control push button, LED is one for 1 minute then turned off. LED and light bulb have never flashed. Receiver unit can not be re-programmed. Please help. Thanks, Long Vo

This is a logic board problem. The logic board is the brains of the opener and controls everything. It actually sounds like the receiver is bad but this is located in the logic board. You can either replace the board(you can buy a board on the same frequency) or buy an external receiver. But with a receiver you have to buy remotes on the same frequency.
Is the opener protected by a surge protector? This is what could of caused the problem. Any time the power goes out or your lights flicker you receive a power surge and openers are susceptible to these. We recommend a surge protector 900 joules or higher. This is a 10 dollar item.
