It goes down about a foot and then goes back up a lot. I then do it manually and then re-set it. Then it works.
One of four things are happening here.
1-Your door is not running properly. Detach the door from the opener and run it by hand. It should go up and down easily so the opener can run it properly.2-There is an obstruction in front of the safety eyes. Watch the led lights on the sensors as the door goes down to make sure the lights don't go off or flicker. If so remove the obstruction.3-The Force needs adjusted. On the motor head you will find two colored plastic screws sticking out of the unit. One indicates up and one down. They also indicate the direction to turn it to turn it up. Only turn it up 1/8 of a turn at a time and when it works stop there. If you crank it up all the way then it will not go back up if someone gets trapped under it. Make sure and do a 2x4 safety reversal test afterwards.4-if that doesn't work then you will probably need a new logic board since the board is not recognizing the force settings. thanks BBMember
