Is Lexan a good option to replace broken glass in my door to provide better security?

The door is an entry door with three 2' x 1' windows, the window is by the handle so it can easily be broken allowing access into the house.

Lexan is certainly a tough material and is hard to break. However, if someone wants to get through it they will. Remember that if they were to ram against the glass, glass will break - but if lexan doesn't break, they'll be pushing against the framing that's holding it in place; make sure whatever is holding the lexan in place is very well secured to the door.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
