We seeded our lawn in late May, then applied Turf Builder two weeks ago. We now have bare spots.

When can we throw more seed in the spots where the grass/weeds have died? Any other advice?

It's best to figure out why the grass died before you reseed. For example, is it possible that fertilizer spilled on those spots? Too much nitrogen can "burn" plants. Also, make sure you don't apply a "weed-and-feed" product on newly seeded lawns, because some of the weed-control substances inhibit seed germination. I'd suggest you flush the bare spots with lots of water, just in case something was spilled there. Then rough up the surface and apply a thin layer of compost. Sow the grass seed and cover the area with a scattering of hay or straw to keep birds from eating the grass seed and to help keep the soil moist. Good luck!

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
