Sears Craftsman garage door opener. Everything works fine with the wall-mounted control, but the one remote I have only closes the door and does not open it.
This usually indicates that the vacation lock on the wall station has been activated. The light on the wall button should be flashing, if it is wired correctly. If it is not wired correctly then there will be no light but still the same fix.
On the wall station there are 3 buttons, one for the light, one for the open/close and one for lock. This lock function locks out the receiver so when you are gone on vacation someone who gets hold of a remote can't just walk in your house. To lock or unlock this function press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds and let go. The blinking light should now be steady. If this is not the problem the only other problem would be a faulty logic board. This can be found at sears.com. Have the model # ready BBMember
