Why can't I set the remote/keypad on my garage door opener?

Batteries have been changed.

This question was completely blank. I inserted some details from your previous questions. Here is some additional advice if you are still having problems programming your remotes:

  • If you are using the SRT (learn) button on the motor unit to program your remotes and console, be sure that you just push the SRT button but do not continue to hold it down. Holding it down will erase all of the codes.
  • Try removing the batteries from all but one of the remotes and attempt to program just the one that still has batteries. A defective remote could be preventing you from properly programming the other remotes.
  • I provided the instructions for programming the remotes on your model of garage door opener in the image below. Be sure to carefully follow these programming instructions.
If you are not able to program the remotes using these instructions, you could have a failed logic board as noted in one of your previous answers.

I hope that these additional tips will help you resolve your garage door opener problem. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
