How do I replace a broken pull rope on my weed eater lawnmower?
It is a model number WE4TN22SB.

The starter assembly is attached to the top of the engine with 3-4 small screws on the side of the starter. Remove these screws and the starter assembly will lift off the engine.
I recommend you buy a new starter assembly and replace it. If you install a new rope there might be something worn inside the starter that will cause it to break soon. Removing the starter pulley from the starter assembly is a tedious and sometimes dangerous operation. If the spring comes loose it unwinds violently and can cut or damage you. If you choose to do this wear gloves and be very careful.Join this conversation.
