How do I adjust my Sears garage door opener model 139652001?
I installed a new door and now my trusty opener closes the door to about 2 inches from the ground and then opens right back up. I no longer have the manual and don't remember how to set it.

According to your symptoms, the down travel limit needs to be adjusted. You may be able to find an adjustment on the control of the motor unit for the garage door opener. If not, then you may consider replacing the unit if you are not able to find the manual or determine how to adjust it.
