I hv a Sears garage door opener, the remotes work but the hard-wired button blinks fast but does not

My garage door opener is a Sears Craftsman Lift Master Formula One quite drive. The car remotes/outside battery-operated remote function perfectly, but the hard-wired button as you walk in the garage blinks rapidly but doesn't lift or close the door. I checked to see if the Lock is on but it doesn't appear to be engaged. Any suggestions are welcome.

Most of the time if the wall station blinks rapidly it is locked. Try holding down the lock button for 4 seconds and let go. Did it go steady?

If not take the cover off and take the wall station off the wall and on the back you will see 2 wires to 2 terminals. Loosen them and set the wall station aside. Touch the 2 copper ends together to see if the operates. Don't worry these wires only carry the same current as a nine volt battery. If this works and it still blinks then you need a new wall station. If it does not check the wiring from there to the opener. If still nothing you might need a new logic board. BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
