It is a Craftsman lawnmower model 12H80-2684-1B. The governor spring was missing. I can't seem to get it on right. It is a primer start 6.0 Briggs engine.
The model number you sent does not run in our system. Without a model number I can't pull up any information on your mower. Please send another email and include the correct model number from the tag on the mower deck of the mower. We will be glad to get the information for you.
The governor spring attaches to the throttle plate on the carburetor. There are several holes in the throttle plate and the governor arm the spring can go in. You need to try different combination's of these holes until you get the best results. There is no correct hole to attach the governor spring to. Moving the governor spring adjusts the way the engine responds to acceleration and deceleration. The hole location varies from engine to engine.Member
