why do my porch lights keep burning out?
The house is one year old. And no one can tell me why the porch lights keep burning out. And I have bought all kind of lights, from the cheap to the costly ones. And they keep popping. From two days to about a month. Thanks for your time. Mike

Is the light fixture protected from rain or is it exposed to rain? If exposed, I'd suspect that water is getting in and causing a short which may be toasting the bulb filament. If it's protected, then it's very hard to say - you could try disconnecting the fixture and re-attaching all the wiring connections - perhaps a wire is loose and causing a problem. Failing that, you may need to enlist an electrician too make sure the circuit is in fact wired properly at the fixture, light switch, and power panel.
