How do I reset garage door opener 139.53671 SRT?
put new batteries in but it doesn't work. I need to "reset" but I don't have a manual. I bought Craftsman 3 function remote #953753. I don't want to open this is I can reset the one I have now. Please, this old grandma needs help.

First each style of garage door opener has its own set of remotes. Even if you have a craftsman remote along with the opener it won't work all the time. If you were to go to Sears with the model number or the color of the learn button they could get you the right one. Or you can go to Sears.com too.
If you have the right pairing then find the colored learn button on the opener motor. It will be on the back(single light) or the side(double light). Press this button once and then within 30 seconds press the button on the remote and the light bulb will flash once. This tells you it is coded. BBJoin this conversation.
