I have a Sears garage door opener part number 41A5021-2e. I have programmed numerous cars using the remote. I have just purchased a new car and can't find the remote. How can I program my new car without it? Can a Sears service center load in the basic information so that the door opener recognizes the remote and customizes it?
You don't need a remote to program the remote in your new car.
To program the remote in the car press and release the learn button on the motor unit of the garage door opener. Within 30 seconds of pressing the learn button, press and hold the button on the remote in the car you want to use to open the garage door. Hold the button down until the led on the motor unit blinks and release it. The remote in the car should operate the door opener.Member
