My riding mower blades do not engage. I have installed a new clutch cable.
Sears Craftsman mower 917.273350. I did not notice anything from the owners manual about the cable connection from the handle and inside the housing.

The cable has to be attached to the handle on the top side. There should be a clip or snap on the cable to make that connection. If all that is correct, I would think there is something else going on that's not related to the cable.
