You can leave the mulch cover in place when using the deck wash. No real reason not to ultimately. As far as how often to use the deck wash, in theory you should use it every time you get done mowing. But a lot of that will depend on the grass and the moisture content. And keep in mind relative humidity when figuring moisture content. The more moist the grass (or air) the more likely you are to have
