First make sure there are new batteries in the keypad. This will be a 9 volt. Next find the colored learn button on the motor unit. It will be red, green, yellow, orange, white or purple most likely. Press that button and within 30 seconds input the 4 digit code you want to operate the door and then press the up/down button below the numbers. The light bulb will flash and this means it has accepted the code. Wait 2 min. and then press the code and then the up/down button and this should operate the door. Thanks BB
