what can't i program my new remotes for my 1995 Sears garage door opener?
I'm following all of the instructions on the remotes and the opener and even bought new batteries

Not all remotes work for all openers. Even if they are the same brand. If you have a security plus opener then you must have a security plus remote...and so on.You say they are new remotes are you sure they are the same frequency? This is probably the problem if the only problem you are having is this issue alone. You can get a clicker brand universal remote or go to Sears or Sears.com to get the right one. Have the color of the learn button on the back or side of the opener motor(this is the only button on the whole thing that you can push) or the model number ready. BB
