I have successfully installed a craftsman garage door opener. It will not program to my old remote.

The new remotes program O.K. 1. I cannot program my old garage door opener remote. My cars will not except a code from the new remotes.

First of all your new gdo will probably have the ((( ))) symbol on it. If the remotes you are trying to reprogram do not than they will not code in. They will operate on a different frequency.

The homelink on your car can be found in the owners manual of your car. Make sure and follow ALL the steps including the erase factory codes and "rolling code" steps. These steps vary car to car, so my instruction on this would probably mess you up. I have done hundreds of these and if you read and follow all the directions then it will code in. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
