I want to hang a flower box but am unsure how to hang it. I have siding and wood around my window.
The flower box will be made out of 1x12 cedar

I would buy or build some L shaped or triangular brackets to support the planter box with. The brackets should be fastened to the house, right through the siding and into a wall stud if possible. It might be easiest to locate studs on the inside of the house below the window using a stud finder.
