First of all there is no "reset" button on a gdo. If you were talking about the learn button on the gdo you might of reset the "code" which means you erased the code from the remotes. Find the colored learn button and press it, and then press the button on the remote you want to operate the door. The light bulb will flash once. This means that the opener has learned the code. Do this for all remotes. If you have a key pad press the learn button and then the 4 digit code and then the up/down button.

Also your gdo needs to be protected by a surge protector the same way you protect a computer as they also have circuit boards. This is different than a gfi/gfci if you have one on that circuit. If a surge has affected the gdo, then you need a new circuit board. You can find these items at Sears.com, have your model number ready. Do a 2x4 safety reversal test after any adjustments. Thanks BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
