Overfilled oil in lawnmower it started smoking now wont start do I need to change an oil filter?

craftsman rotary 675 series briggs and stratton engine power propelled after I realized there was to much oil I dumped it out put fresh in and new gas is there some kind of filter to change?

The small engine have an internal screen type filter that generally never needs to be changed/serviced. If you drained the oil and got it back to the correct level, you should be good to mow. There may be a little bit of smoke for the first little bit of running it again, but other than that you shouldn't have any issues. That smoking will stop once the engine has burned all the excess oil out.

drain the oil, then fill it with the correct amount of oil. remove the spark plug and crank the motor a couple of times, replace the sparkplug with a new one and it should start,it may smoke a bit but it will be okay.
