It has a new battery and I've followed the manual instructions repeatedly with no luck. My other remote was reprogrammed in a snap. Do I need a new remote control?
First make sure the replacement battery is the right one. There are some batteries that look like the same one but are not. There are numbers on the battery to tell. Make sure that the battery is in correctly. On some of the remotes you can slip it in upside down. Also make sure that when you snapped the remote back together you didn't pinch the buttons. You can test this by putting the battery in and pushing the button on the circuit board in the remote before you close it up.
If you have followed all instructions per the manual and replaced the battery correctly, then I would say you might need a new remote. You can find this item at your local Sears or sears.com. Thanks BBMember
