Installed plastic gear in garage door. Now will only raise about 8". Torque screw is max. out
Model #139.53970SRT Disengaged the door and the slide will only raise about a foot. Torque setting is max. out and the up adustable limit switch is not the problem. The door see's the down limit switch when the door returns down.

I am sorry but we are having trouble trying to figure out what you are talking about. You replaced the gear in the door or opener? When the door is disengaged you can only raise it 1 foot by hand? What is a torque setting? How does the door "see" the limit switch? Please resubmit and look in the manual for correct terms of the parts. Remember I am not here to see or ask. BB
