May have shorted out garage door opener. It just clicks and the indicator light blinks 5x. Logic bd?

Model #139.5398511. Was working on light that wouldn't stay lit, and possibly shorted out the unit. (Forgot to unplug opener before working on light). When wall button pushed, unit clicks a couple of times but door doesn't go up or down. Indicator light blinks 5 times. Do I need to replace the logic board Part #41A5483-2B?

Make sure the photo eyes are aligned and lit brightly. One orange and one green. Make sure the eyes are hooked up to the right terminals on the back of the unit. Are the photo eyes free of cob webs? Try holding down the wall button, if it operates while holding the button down then it is your eyes. If not you might need a new board OR new eyes. It might be wiser to get a whole new unit unless you can get these pieces cheaply. BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
