I have a 7 month old Polaroid TLX-04011C TV with sound and no picture. The manual is no help and the fuse in the back is good.
The LCD panel needs to be illuminated with a backlight which consists of fluorescent tubes. These tubes are the source of a lot of no video conditions. When you turn the set on, see if you get a flash of light for a few seconds then back to dark. This usually indicates that it's a backlight failure. If you do not see any indication that he backlight is on, hold a flash light up to the screen and try to look at it from an angle. You should be able to see the video very faintly. If this is the case, the only thing other than the panel being bad is the loss of supply to the inverter or the on command from the signal board. The no supply condition and the no on command usually mean that the backlight does not even light at startup. It is more common that someone does not notice the flash of light than there actually not being one. If it is only a few months old I would get the warranty work done on it as soon as possible.
