Who services Genie garage door openers?

I'm trying to get a couple of remotes for a Genie garage door opener, also I wanted to have the keypad programed. We bought this house and there were no remotes, and we had no idea what the keypad code is.

First you can purchase the remotes at sears.com or at your local sears, or any garage door company should carry them. Have your model number ready. To program them press the learn button on the garage door motor and then press the button on the remote 3 times. This programs the remote. Sometimes on Genies it takes a couple times doing that for some reason.

As far as your keypad, first make sure the battery is good before you start. To erase the old code press and hold in order- prog,6 and up/down(this is for the grey gwkic). 1- press 357 prog.(light will blink once per secon) 2-enter your pin(4-8 numbers)prog.(light will blink twice per second) 3-press the learn button on the garage door motor(it will be the only one you can actually push) 4-enter the pin(4-8) again and press the up/down button 3 times and after that it will be programmed. If this fails start over and erase again. (For the older black style black acsdg) Slide cover halfway up and press 8 while opening the cover all the way up. Light will blink once and go out. To program this one the only difference is that the up/down button is on the very far right/down part of the numbers with a little raised plastic piece around it. Hope that helps BB

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
