i have a garage opener & need to reprog the remote to open the garage door it's a craftman

First of all make sure the batteries in the remote are good. Then get a ladder and have the remote ready.

Next locate the learn button on the motor unit. It should be on the back(single light) or the side(double light). It should be the only button on the unit that you can actually push. It will be red, orange, green or purple most likely.

Push the colored learn button and then push the button on the remote that you want to operate the door. The light bulb on the unit should flash once, this means that the remote has been received. Now press it agaain and the unit should operate.

If the light bulb does not flash, then it was not received. That is either the battery or you may need a new one.

If the light bulb flashes but the unit does not operate then something is wrong with the actual garage door opener.
