Why won't the blades turn on my line trimmer?
my craftsman weedeater starts but the blades don't turn

You forgot to include the model number of your trimmer so I am unable to look at which machine you have. That being said, I would think that at one of the connections the shaft (internally) is not connecting. On most models there is a connection that must be mated coming right off the power head, then another half way down the shaft, and another where the cutting head attaches.
