What makes my mower hard to start?
917.377582 craftsman mower. my mower is hard too start. 10/15 pulls. then stalls after running a few seconds. fresh fuel ok. This happens if the mower sets a week or 2.

This could be just a simple fuel issue, the carb has some trash in it or something like that. Or, it could be a more serious problem where you're rings are worn and the compression from the engine is not what it needs to be. If the machine smokes when it's running (white/grey smoke) I would say the rings are wearing and you have a compression problem. If there is no smoke to notice, it's more than likely just in need of a carburetor cleaning.
