How do I replace the pull cord on a craftsman weedwacker Model 358791580?

You'll need to remove the shaft, the clutch/drum assembly, and the front housing. That should then have the recoil spring and rope pulley exposed for replacement.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
