First pull the red cord down and make sure the door is running smoothly without catching or is hard to operate.

To be certain that it is not your photo eyes go to your wall button, push and hold. If the door goes all the way down then it is your photo eyes and you need to re-submit a question.

If it does not go down and does the same thing when you push and hold the wall button, then it is probably a force limit issue. First take the 2 screws that hold the light cover on, off. this will expose the 2 black adjustment screws to adjust the force of the gdo. As your gdo ages it needs more force and should be checked from time to time. Turn the "down" force adjustment 1/4 turn clockwise and try again. If still the same then turn 1/4 again. If you get all the way until it won't turn anymore then you have something with your door or it is time to replace your gdo. Before you close up the light cover do a 2x4 safety test as described in your manual.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
