How do I set the pin pad on my craftsman garage door opener
I had to reset the garage door system and now I need to set a new code for the pin pad

The motor will have a learn/smart button on the back of the unit. Press this and then input your 4 digit code into the kayless entry and press the large button on the bottom. Your light bulb should flash once and it is set. Wait 1 min. and test it by putting in your code then pressing the big button on the bottom.

the previous answer is not helpful. my opener motor has no learning buttom. it is an older model. I did re-code few years ago per manual, but I forgot how to do it. and can not find the manual any more. And I also can not find the how to code the key pad on opener manual just down loaded.

I finally found the touch pad manual on-line under parts number 139.53716. Please review the manual, it will help you to reset the code if you have the similar model. for newer models, the learn button is the way to go.
