First of all, I am answering under the assumption that other than the stripped gears your gdo was operating right before that. First, check all wires to circuit board and elsewhere. Sometimes while replacing the gears they can get bumped. Next check the force settings. For this problem crank them both up all the way clockwise. Then check your problem again. Also check your safety sensors, as they will stop the motor from running if not hooked up/alligned. Another possibility is you have to make sure that the travel settings were are at the right place, ie you want your door to go up but it is at the end of it's limits for up, or vice versa. If all this is right and you still are having this problem, I would suggest replacing your unit with a new model. If any of these suggestions fix your problem, make sure and do the 2x4 reversal safety test and adjust your force to the recommended level.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
