This opener has been opening and functioning for years. It suddenly stopped closing. It still opens, but does not close. The manual says to check the sensors and all are fine. It also says new installation to check adjustments but it's old...what could be wrong?
First of all go to your wall switch. If your unit will not go down with your remote but will if you hold the wall button down(hold till all the way down), then it is your sensors. Have some one watch each of the led lights on the sensors as the door goes down to see if the go dim as the track vibration might affect the sensors. If your led lights stay fully lit the whole time down then your circuit board has probably sustained some type of damage and you need a new unit. If your unit will not go down even with holding down the wall switch then check your down force limit and turn clockwise 1/4 turn, or there could be a problem with your door. If you think there is a problem with your door then disconnect it from the opener and run it by hand to check it.
