What is causing the remotes on my garage door opener to not work?
Craftsman 1/2 hp model 139.53910. I've tried to clear codes & reset. They both went out at the same time. The opener was only 3 yrs. old when this happened.

If you have a wireless keypad device outside your garage, take the battery out of it and try to program your remotes. Sometimes the board will go haywire on those and it will constantly send a signal that prevents the remotes from working.
Also, I have seen the wall control pad do the same thing. It will work fine, but it will block the signal for the remotes. It's worth mentioning that if your wall control has a vacation lock feature on it, and it's set to lock, none of the remotes will work either.If none of that seems to be the issue, I would call a technician out to diagnose.

Just had the same problem. Batts were good & tried resetting several times, no luck. Then I tried again only this time with the door down - that did it. Give it a try!!! EDS
