What is causing my mower to run bad and use lots of gas?
Craftsman Model 917.388200 rotary lawnmower Briggs and Stratton engine My Craftsman lawnmower engine runs ragged and uses at least twice as much gas as it should.

I would recommend having the machine serviced by a technician. Chances are there is something wrong with the carburetor. But it could be a few different things causing that type of issue.
