Why does our garage door opener model 139.53910 open off of our remote and other remotes in the neighborhood after reprogramming it?
I re-programmed my garage door. Now it opens off of our remote and someone in the neighborhood. What do we do?

I recommend erasing all of the remotes using the LEARN button on the motor unit. Press and hold the LEARN button until the light above it goes out. This will take about 6 deliberate seconds. Use the LEARN button to reprogram all of the remotes for your garage door opener. This should disable any remotes in the neighborhood that were activating your garage door opener.
