I have a craftsman keyless entry garage door opener mounted to the siding of the house. The model number is 139.53684. The keyless entry garage door opener had always been working until I did some work on the garage door opener. I reprogramed the remote control opener so it would work. Now, the keyless entry garage door opener won't work. I pressed in a 4 digit code, hit the # sign and enter and the key pad continued to blink. It wouldn't stop blinking. I tried programming the keyless entry several times and the keypad blinks constantly. What do I need to do to program the keyless entry so it will open the garage door opener?
Make sure the key less device has a good battery. After that, try clearing all the codes on your opener and just programming in the key less device. If it take the key less device, then try the remotes. If you still cannot get the key less to program in, I would suspect a problem with the key less device itself. You may try pulling the battery out for about 5 mins and see if you can get it work then, but more than likely the keypad itself has failed and will need to be replaced.
