Garage door opener burns up circuit boards. Any explanation?
Liftmaster 1/2 HP Chain Drive. It has burned up 2 circuit boards. The door is 16'-0 wide and 8'-0 high with hurricane reinforcing

The door may be a little bit heavy for that opener, but that shouldn't cause the type of issue that you're having. I would have the electrical outlet checked to make sure the ground is good. Outside of that, there really isn't anything else that you can check. I would recommend you have a professional come out and take a look at the opener to see if they can determine what keeps causing your board failure.
