The button on the wall works for my garage door, but I can't get the remote to work. I tried new batteries, but it still won't work. It is a Craftsman remote and came from Sears. It was here when I moved into my house. The warranty is already expired.
Without a model number for the motor unit of your garage door opener, it is difficult to advise you on this issue. The image below shows instructions for using the LEARN or SRT button to program the remote. Try using this button to program the remote. If you have an owner's manual for your garage door opener, use the instructions in that manual if they are different than the ones below. If the remote still will not program, you may try erasing all of the codes from the memory of the unit and reprogramming the wall unit and then the remote. If the remote will still not program, then you may need to replace it.
I you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number off of the motor unit of your garage door opener. You can normally find the model number of the motor unit behind the light lens.Member
