Why is the light blinking on the garage door opener button after I replaced the battery on the remote?
I have a garage door opener model 139.53966SRT1. The red light on the button pad blinks.

If your button pad light is blinking, this normally indicates that the lock is on if it has this feature. Press and hold the LOCK button for two deliberate seconds. The light should stop flashing.
