My Craftsman garage door opener remotes don't work after resetting with new batteries. The wall switch works. What causes this?

Without a model number I can only give you some general information on the garage door opener.

The memory of the logic board will store 4-6 codes. If the memory is full, it won't accept any more codes. You should erase the memory of the logic board by holding the learn button on the motor unit in until the led goes off. This might be the problem.

If the remote won't program after erasing the codes, and you know you are programming it correctly, you need to replace the remote.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
