how do you replace a bow rake handle?

The handle either screws into the rake head, or there is a metal pin that holds it. For the pin type, you may need to drill out the metal pin and then after inserting a new handle, insert a screw to hold the handle in place.

My rake head does not screw into the handle and there is no pin. I have an Ames handle, and i think the head just pounds into the hole in the handle, but I'm not sure.
