What lubricant would I use for my Craftsman garage door opener model no 139.53964srt for the wheels?

My garage door opener wheels are sticking when I open and close the door. What kind of lubricant should I use? It is a Sears Craftsman model no 139.53964srt.

You can buy a can of silicone lubricant that you can spray into the bearings around the inside edges of the door wheels. Spray the wheels on both sides of the door and raise and lower the door 3-4 times. Spray the wheels again and that should do it.

The gears inside the garage door opener should be lubricated with silicone grease. Unplug the opener and remove the outer cover of the garage door opener. Coat both gears in the opener liberally with silicone grease. Rub the grease into the grooves and teeth of the gears.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
