I have a Craftsman garage door opener model 139.53754. The remote (which is dark grey w/ 3 black buttons) worked when we had our old password. When we reprogrammed the 4 digit password on the Craftsman 315 mhz Security Keyless Entry (Model 139.53754) both garage remotes stopped working. We tried programming the password w/ both remotes close to the system while we did that and that did not work.
It is possible that you erased all of the codes in the memory of the motor unit when you programmed the new keyless entry remote. Follow the steps provided in the owner's manual for your garage door opener to reprogram or add the other remotes to the garage door opener motor unit. The image below should be the instructions for your motor unit. If the instructions for your specific model differ from the ones shown below, then you will need to use the instructions for your specific model of garage door opener motor unit.
Once you add or reprogram the other remotes they should work properly. In some instances, you could have a full memory on the motor unit. In this circumstance, you would need to erase all of the remotes and then reprogram them all including the keyless entry remote. If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your motor unit as well.I have a 139.53753 remote-I thought it was the batter but it wasn't Bought another off Ebay and replaced the battery just in case and it still won't open the door-I even unplugged the garage door opener and re plugged it- It opens manually on the main switch in the garage I can't find a way to program it on the outside-and there are no buttons on the inside to program it and I don't have the manual Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks Mike from Texas mike.konvicka@gmail.com
