I have a tiller model 917298352. Does the belt keeper 121463X go under the v-belt or in the middle?
It is a Craftsman front tine tiller model 917298352. The belt keeper part 121463X is attached to the belt guard. What position should the belt keeper be in when I put the belt guard back on after replacing the v-belt part 9180R. See the owners manual for diagram.

The belt keeper should be installed with the end of the crook pointed to your right when you install the belt guard.
