I can't get both of my 3-function Craftsman garage door remotes to work at the same time. Any ideas?
I bought a new 3-function garage door remote model 139.53778. When I program the new remote my other remote which looks exactly the same does not work. When I re-program the older remote the new one does not work. How do I program them to work at the same time?

Your old and new remotes are not compatible. The garage door opener will work with either remote, but not both at the same time.
Get the model number off your old remote and return the one you bought. Buy a remote that has the same model number as your older remote. A good way to get remotes that are compatible is to match the color of the actuator buttons on the remotes. If your original remote has gray buttons, buy a remote with gray buttons.Timothy

I am in the same boat, but the model numbers on both of my remotes are the same. Only one will work at a time. When I program one, the other one de-programs. Any other suggestions?
