How do I replace the logic board in my 1/2HP Craftsman garage door opener? Please tell me it's easy.

The logic board number is 41A5483-2B. Will I have to re-program my wall unit, keyless pad, and car remotes as well. If so, how do I do it?

Replacing the logic board is fairly easy. I will tell you what you have to do and you can decide if you want to attempt it.

Disconnect the power to the garage door opener. Remove the screws around the outer edge of the garage door opener and remove the outer wrapper.

The logic board is plugged into a connector in the garage door opener. Unplug the original logic board and lift it out of the opener.

Plug the new logic board into the opener and reinstall the outer wrapper.

You will need to program the car remotes, any hand held remotes, and the keyless entry. The wall control doesn't require programming.

I am sending you 2 images. One has instructions for programming the remote, the other has instructions for programming the keyless entry.

The car remotes program the same as a hand held remote.

This is a great place to go for advice, especially if you're low on funds and you could resolve the problem before calling and paying a service call, if it's an easy fix. I'm glad you are there for me.
