I need to set a new code for my garage door opener I don't have the existing code. It is a model 139.53964srt.
It is a Craftsman model no 139.53964srt. I bought the condo but I don't have the existing code. The manual doesn't tell you how to reset it without a code.

You should erase all previous codes from the memory of the garage door opener logic board. The garage door opener will exchange the code with the remote or keyless entry when you program it.
I am sending you an image of the page from the owners manual that gives the instructions for erasing the memory and programming the remote. You did not mention a keyless entry, but I am also sending that page in case you need it.
