One remote on my garage door opener stopped working. When I reprogram it, it erases the other remote and vice versa. How do I fix the problem?
I have a Craftsman garage opener model 139-53673srt1.I have two remotes that worked fine for the last 4 years. One quit working. After replacing the battery and reprogramming it, it did work but the other one stopped working. Every time I program one, the other one stops working. What I should do to make both work? The remote model is 139-53681.

It sounds like one of your remotes has failed. I recommend buying a new remote. Erase the codes from the logic board of the garage door opener by holding the srt button in until the led goes off. This will make sure there is room in the logic board memory to accept the new codes.
Program all 3 openers and use the 2 that program. Program the new remote first and the failed one won't program. Remove the battery from the bad remote and dispose of it properly.Join this conversation.
